Sit-At-Home: Imo Residents Continue To Observe IPOB Order For A Second Day

23 October

Reported by Ayooluwa Afolabi

Residents of Imo State observed the sit-at-home order of the Indigenous People of Biafra (lPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN), on Tuesday.

Daily Trust reported that the situation has been calm in the Owerri metropolis and its environs since Monday when lPOB and ESN issued the order.

Worried by this order, the security agencies rolled out armored cars and helicopters to ensure security in the state.

Despite the measures by the security agencies, residents still complied with the directives of the IPOB/ESN.

It was gathered that both private and commercial vehicles were off the roads while federal and state workers failed to report to their duty posts.

Bank workers equally joined other workers to stay at home while schools in the state remain closed.
