Former House of Representatives member Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina, popularly known as Omoolore, has been receiving praise from beneficiaries of an online giveaway hosted by Ibadan Media Limited.

Ibadan Media, a digital platform, posted an Instagram photo on (@ibadanmedia) with the caption, “What do you need to survive this week? Write it in the comment section below.” Known for his charitable deeds, Hon. Dapo Lam-Adesina promptly responded, donating about ₦500,000 in cash to 20 beneficiaries, as well as foodstuffs, sneakers, a makeup chair, and a sewing machine.

According to Ibadan Media’s CEO, Ola Olanrewaju, he shared: “Just hours after that post, I received a direct message from Hon. Dapo Lam. He had gone through the comments, chosen beneficiaries based on their requests, and sent me their usernames to collect details from them.”

Among the recipients was Mrs. Motunrayo Adeshina, a mother who accompanied her daughter to receive a makeup chair at Hon. Dapo Lam’s residence in Alalubosa GRA. “When I heard my daughter had won in an online giveaway and was going to a politician’s residence to collect her prize, I was cautious. I decided to come along, thinking that if there were any risks, we would face them together,” she explained. “Seeing that it’s genuine, I’m very grateful. Hon. Dapo’s father, the late Gov. Lamidi Adesina, was also known for his kindness, and I’m glad his legacy continues.”

One of the winners, Mariam Adeshola Adeshina, a makeup artist, expressed her joy in winning a makeup chair: “I was genuinely surprised. This chair will improve my work environment tremendously. I’ll be able to work comfortably and take on more clients. I’m deeply thankful to Hon. Dapo Lam and Ibadan Media for this blessing.”

Adeniji Abiodun, a tailor, shared a similar sentiment after winning a sewing machine, said she initially thought it was a scam: “This feels like a dream. After completing my training in July last year, I couldn’t start my practice without a machine. This gift means the world to me, and I’m incredibly grateful to Hon. Dapo and Ibadan Media for making it possible.”

Another recipient, Adenekan Oluwaseun, who won sneakers, shared: “When I saw my name being tagged on the post, I couldn’t believe it. If more people in Ibadan followed Hon. Dapo Lam’s example, our community would be in an even better place.”
