OYSAA Disowns Alleged Lamppost Advertising Promo, Warns Public Against Fake Offer
The Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA) has distanced itself from a purported lamppost advertising promotional offer currently circulating across various media platforms, describing it as false, misleading, and unauthorized.
In a disclaimer issued on Thursday, the Director-General of the Agency, Oludolapo Eso-Ajanaku, said OYSAA neither authorized nor approved the promotional material and has no partnership with GoldMender Media in relation to the advertisement.
The Agency also clarified that it has not granted any discount, concession, or special promotional package for the display of advertisements in Oyo State featuring the image of the Accord Party of Nigeria (APM) governorship candidate, Mr. Bimbo Adekanbi.
According to the statement signed by the Director General of the Agency, Oludolapo Eso-Ajanaku, the purported promotional campaign did not originate from OYSAA and should be disregarded by members of the public, advertising practitioners, political stakeholders, and other interested parties.
"OYSAA is not aware of, has not authorized, and has not approved any such promo. The material being circulated does not emanate from the Agency and should be treated as misleading," the statement read.
The Agency reiterated that all outdoor advertising activities within Oyo State remain subject to the relevant laws, regulatory guidelines, approvals, and statutory fees prescribed by OYSAA.
It further warned that appropriate administrative and legal actions would be taken against individuals or organizations found to be using the Agency's name, logo, or institutional identity without authorization.
Reaffirming its commitment to professionalism and transparency, OYSAA assured stakeholders that it would continue to uphold regulatory compliance and maintain the integrity of outdoor advertising administration across Oyo State.
