OYSAA Tackles First-Party Clients Over Outstanding Debts

07 May

The Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA) has initiated a two-day enforcement drive in Ibadan to tackle the issue of unpaid debts from First-Party Clients.

According to the Agency, this has negatively impacted the Agency\\\'s operations and the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of Oyo State.

The Director-General (OYSAA) Hon. Oludolapo Eso-Ajanaku made this assertion known yesterday while leading an enforcement team within the Ibadan metropolis.

According to him, the enforcement drive aims at collecting outstanding payments, reinforcing financial responsibilities, and raising awareness among business owners about the importance of timely payment of dues for signages within the boundaries of Oyo State.

The Director-General (OYSAA) explained further that despite prior leniency and constant encouragement offered by OYSAA, the continued lack of compliance has forced the Agency to adopt a more rigorous enforcement policy, stressing that it is crucial for addressing financial non-compliance.

He noted that the present administration in Oyo State led by Governor Seyi Makinde has fostered a conducive business environment for business owners to operate and to improve economic stabilities in the State.

Ajanaku however applauded the businesses that have complied with their financial obligations, urging other clients to do the same to avoid disruptions of their business operations.

The DG OYSAA said that the Agency would no longer tolerate non-compliance, as it would continue to conduct similar enforcement drives periodically and encourage businesses to proactively engage with the Agency to settle their debts to contribute to the economic well-being of the State.
