Oyo NSCDC Arrest Seven Person Over Kidnapping, Sexual Assault, Others

The Oyo State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has arrested seven suspects who were involved in human trafficking, child defilement, harmful traditional practices and among other vices across different locations in the State.



The state commandant, Augustine Padonu, revealed that the suspects were arrested from different locations in the states and are currently undergoing investigation and would be charged to court as soon as the investigation is completed.


 


 


He therefore identified those arrested as; Osuolale Ayoddele,53-year-Old; John Umeh, 64; Eyeke Chimechie, 45; Mutiu Alabi, 45 And Tomiwa Olusegun,35.


 


He further added that Ayodele is a native of Osun and residents of Olunloyo Area,Ibadan, was arrested for 13 year old minor on January 26, while Umeh a native of Abia State and resident of Monatan area, Ibadan, arrested for allegedly assaulting his step daughter sexually, since seven years old until she became 16.


 


 


Chiemechi, a native of Ebonyi State and resident Of Bestway Area, Ibadan, was arrested for allegedly impregnating a 17-year-old girl and thereby subjecting her to domestic violence, while Adedoja Lukman, native of Ibadan and resident of Kobomoje Compound, Ibadan, was arrested for allegedly engaging in harmful traditional practices including female genital mutilation.


 


He added that the other two suspects, Olusegun and Eritobiloba Rashidi, both natives of Oyo State, where arrested at Ojoo Motor Park when trying to traffic four girls to Libya.


 


 


Padonu said that they all will be charged to court after investigation is being completed as investigation is currently undergoing.
