It is with deep interest, great respect and humility that we write to our distinguished APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and our Royal fathers from EPE Division that we sincerely express our condolence and sympathize with you the party for the sudden demise of our indefatigable Senator, Adebayo Osinowo, may his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
As God has designed it, death is an inevitable, unplanned, and necessary experience all of us will encounter.
We can only work towards and pray to leave a great legacy on the ground prior to this inevitable call – which undoubtedly, our great leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and our amiable Governor – Babajide Sanwo-Olu have established indelible, notable and great legacies in Lagos State and the Nation at large.
Having said that, the government is a continuum, the deceased left a huge vacuum which needs to be filled in a very short time.
We know that our party (APC) will desire to maintain progressive virtues by ensuring a capable and outstanding candidate succeeds the Late Osinowo, in order for the people to continue to enjoy good governance and dividend of democracy.
It is on this premise that, We, CONCERNED INDIGENES OF EPE DIVISION humbly present to you our best and most preferred candidate, the person of CHIEF LANRE RAZAK (KLM).
According to the President of the group, Mr. Bode Oguniyi, he said that we the Epe Indigene align our unflinching support and loyalty to Chief Lanre Razak (KLM) in his quest and desire to represent Lagos East Senatorial District.
The President of the group made the announcement during a stakeholders meeting held in Epe, on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.
Oguniyi cited the rationales for recommending KLM to succeed Osinowo as follows;
Chief Lanre Razak stepped down for Late Osinowo to be the party flag bearer in the last election.
KLM is a unifying figure in the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, whose commitment to party ideals is not in doubt.
Chief Lanre Razak is a loyal party man (loyalist) to the core. He is humane, humble, and kind-hearted.
KLM is a symbol of what APC stands for. He is most qualified to represent us in the upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly.
Chief Lanre Razak has served in various capacity and he’s still ready to serve.
Also, KLM’s capacity building and community developments over the years still speaks volume for him and he will not relent in ensuring that programs, projects, and measures that will enhance the development and growth of Lagos East Senatorial District in particular and Lagos State, in general, are put in place by the Federal Government.
To this end, we the Concerned Indigenes of Epe Division, thereby, appeal to your benevolence and ever considerate gestures The Jagaban, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our indefatigable Governor. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and our Traditional rulers from EPE Division to consider our tenacious leader and envoy, Chief Lanre Razak (KLM) to be the APC party flag bearer for the position of SENATOR in Lagos East Senatorial District.
He is the anointed man of the people, by the people and for the people.
Oguniyi urged the residents of Lagos East Senatorial District to support Chief Lanre Razak to attain the senatorial seat.
