Police Set to Exhume MohBad’s Body For Autopsy Amid public Outrage For Investigation.

Amid controversies and several public views surrounding the gruesome death of the late music sensation, MohBad, who passed away one week ago, Efforts are underway to exhume the body in order to conduct a comprehensive autopsy as investigation gains momentum.

The sudden and mysterious death of Ileri Oluwa Oladimeji, also known as MohBad, at the age of 27, has sparked public outrage with several people coming forward to demand the circumstances around his death be looked into.

This decision has been prompted by the establishment of a special investigative team by the Lagos State Police Command, with the primary goal of shedding light on the circumstances surrounding his untimely demise.

This significant development was officially announced by the Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, Mr. Idowu Owohunwa. He emphasized that the formation of this investigative team is driven by the paramount importance of uncovering the truth for the sake of the public.

The Commissioner revealed that this dedicated team will be tasked with unraveling the mysteries surrounding MohBad’s death, identifying potential witnesses, and pinpointing any individuals who might have been involved in the incident. Furthermore, they will employ various investigative tools and technological resources in full compliance with the Nigerian Constitution.

“Following the unfortunate demise of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, known as MohBad, aged 27, on September 12th, 2023, and in the greater interest of the public, the Command has established a specialized investigative unit.

Its primary objectives are to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the victim’s death, identify any witnesses or potential culprits, and utilize the appropriate processes and technological means as provided by the Nigerian Constitution for our investigation,” stated the Lagos Police Commissioner.

The terms of reference for the special investigative team include the exhumation of MohBad’s body for a comprehensive autopsy, toxicology analysis, and histological examination. The team will also visit the location where the incident occurred, search for any relevant hospital or medical reports related to MohBad’s death, and collect information from individuals who may have knowledge of the situation.

The special police investigative team has been tasked with delivering an interim report within two weeks from the commencement of the investigation. This team is further divided into two subgroups: a legal team and a forensic team.

Key members of the special investigation team on the MohBad case include Detective ACP Saheed Kassim (Team Leader), Detective CSP Cris Onyeisi, Detective SP Masta Alh. Bunu, Detective SP Ibrahim A. Yusuf, Detective DSP Ahmed Abdullahi, Detective ASP Oderinde Galfar, Detective ASP Alabi Bolanle, Detective ASP Mohammed Yusu, Detective Inspectors Adesida Adefisayo, Aneh Michael, Oisa Roseline, Ayowa Owoeye, and Babatunde Victor.

The legal team comprises SP Cardoso Yetunde Esq (OC Legal), DSP Umar Bello Esq (Legal Officer), and ASP Augustine Nwabuisi (Legal Officer). Meanwhile, the forensic team is led by Detective CSP Ayiti Akpama, with Detective Inspectors Elizabeth Olokode and Queen Agofure as members.
