The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, Alli Okumade II, has sacked his personal assistant on chieftaincy matters, Chief Isiaka Akinpelu. This was contained in a release signed by his personal assistant on media, Oladele Ogunsola, on Tuesday.

Olubadan, in a swift replacement, appointed his kinsman, Alhaji Lateef Muibi Balogun, in his stead. The statement reads ‘To strengthen his reign and give better performance on Chieftaincy Matters, Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Sen. Lekan Balogun, CFR, Alli Okunmade II on Monday relieved his Personal Assistant on Chieftaincy Matters, Chief Isiaka Akinpelu of his duty and in his place appointed his kinsman, Alhaji Lateef Muibi Balogun, Baale Afijagba.‘

Oba Balogun said the replacement is due to the reorganization currently going on in the palace. He enjoined the newly appointed aides to work assiduously for the progress of the palace and Ibadan-land as a whole. Reacting to the development, the newly appointed aide thanked the monarch and appreciated the Alli-iwo Dynasty for counting him worthy of the appointment with a promise to deliver for the betterment of the dynasty.
