Muri Oladokun Emerges APM Guber Candidate, Vows To Unseat Makinde

Muritala Olamide Oladokun has emerged as a gubernatorial candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), to be wrestling power with the likes of Senator Teslim Folarin of All Progressive Congress, APC, the State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, among others.

Muri Oladokun emerged as APM consensus flag bearer on Wednesday, in Ibadan, the Capital City of Oyo state as he was adopted by all the delegates of the party across 33 local government areas in the State.

Speaking shortly after his nominations, Oladokun appreciated the leader, executives, and delegates of the party said, promised to lead the party into victory coming 2023 general election. “By the grace of God, I will be the next governor of Oyo State, but we must work, this job we are about to do isn’t a small job”

“Thanks we’ve done this today successfully, if you know what brought us here, it is a very cloudy and stumbling block because it is not easy. “The tunnel was getting darker and darker and suddenly we saw the light”

Shortly before Oladokun’s nomination, the leader of the party, Alhaji Abass Adeagbo said, “A small source of water cannot be underestimated, also nothing can be compared to the strength of a horse/pony. God is with APM and he won’t leave us”

Speaking further, he urged all the delegates and party candidates, both vying for the seat of State Assembly, National Assembly, and the Gubernatorial candidate to work harder in other to make the party more popular.

“We are not here to play but to work hard from the foundation, don’t be discouraged by the thoughts of your party being a small party, create awareness for the party’s popularity, be proud of your party and we will be successful, the law of attraction works in some people’s word.”

Also before the primary, the Oyo State Chairman of the party, Alh. Ganiyu Ademola confirmed that everything the party is doing is in accordance with the rules and guidelines of the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC.

“I want to crave the indulgence of everyone here, let me tell you that everything we are doing here isn’t hidden from INEC. Those that we went together can bear witness. Just this morning, we were there and they told us to go ahead. Although they are observers, our National Officers and Returning Officers have to shoulder so many responsibilities.

“Elder Otunba Durojaiye, National Deputy Leader, and Mr. Kayode, they are both our Returning Officers. Everything we are doing is in line with the regulation of the government”

“Now this election is just of consensus we are not here to cause any trouble this positions can be shared. And am happy for all the aspirants, have said it earlier, that is what we will do.” He concluded.
