Ibadan Media, Oyo NUJ to Honor Aduragbemi Animasawun

In a preparation for its 3rd edition of the Journalists’ Hang Out event, the organizer, Ibadan Media in partnership with the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oyo State council is set to honor Aduragbemi Animasawun-Euba at this year’s event with an honorary award, in August.

Aduragbemi Animasawun-Euba is a successful businesswoman, a movie producer, and an actor. She is the CEO of SignatureByAdura, a fashion label situated in Aleshinloye market in Ibadan, she also co-owns a foundation where they cater for the education of children in the rural area with a nursery, a primary and secondary school in Badeku Village Ona Ara Local Government.

Adura is the daughter of popular juju musician, Apola King, now known as Reverend Idowu Animasawun, and late Evangelist Deborah Animasawun.

The annual Journalists’ Hang Out is a gathering of Journalists in Oyo State. Our goal is to bring people, especially Journalists; Newsmen, Writers, Photo-Journalists, OAPs, Bloggers, Social Media Influencers, and Media Personalities to discuss and deliberate on any issues challenging the industry or the State/Country, at a particular time, and come out with possible solutions to the right authorities for necessary implementation.

The theme for this year’s event is Stemming the Tide of Get Rich Quick Syndrome and Ritual Killings: The Role of the Media. The event is scheduled to hold on Sunday, August 28th, 2022 at Dapo Aderogba Hall, NUJ Secretariat, Iyaganku, Ibadan by 1:00 pm
