
Prince Olawale Semiu Oyebola has emerged as the selected candidate by the kingmakers to ascend the stool of Aseyin of Iseyin, the local government area of Oyo State.
This is according to reports emerging from the selection process of the new Aseyin of Iseyin at the king’s palace on Tuesday.
The ten kingmakers arrived at the palace at 10 o’clock in the morning for a voting process as planned by the officials of the Iseyin local government and security agents.
The 55-year-old Aseyin-elect will succeed the Late Aseyin, Oba Salahudeen Abdul Ganiyy Adekunle Ajinese 1.
The late Aseyin died in 2022 after an illness at the University College Hospital, Ibadan. He spent 15 years on the throne.
The new Aseyin-elect works and resides in the United States of America with his family.
Earlier, the Aseyin of Iseyin Palace was cordoned off by security operatives to allow the process to take place without any hindrance.
