The Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, who is also the chairman of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force, said on Monday, that the Task Force would reveal the identity of the company with 38 COVID-19 positive cases on Tuesday (Today).
“We have held back from revealing the name of the company so as to allow the Emergency Operations Centre gather intelligence and complete their investigation.”
“So, they will be done by tomorrow and we will be able to give you that information so that any person who has visited the company recently will be able to present themselves for testing.” Said Gov. Makinde via his Twitter handle.
IBADAN MEDIA previously reported the confirmation tests for thirty suspected cases, with addiction eight cases in the last 24hrs bringing the total confirmed POSITIVE cases to thirty eight in the same company, the members of staff of the same organisation based in Ibadan South West Local Government Area. The organisation has been shut down and will be decontaminated.
The members of the public is urge to remain calm as the situation is under control. According to Makinde, intensified contact tracing has already commenced. As the COVID-19 task force promise to give an update on any additional measures that may need to be taken.
