Oba James Odeniran Re-elected Oyo FA boss, As Mutiu Adepoju Becomes FA Member

A Royal father and a retired FIFA referee Oba James Odeniran has been re-elected for the second time as the Chairman of Oyo State Football Association after he returned unopposed in an elections held at Ladalob Royal Suite, Bodija, Ibadan on Thursday morning.Ex-Super Eagle midfielder and Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) General Manager, Mutiu Adepoju also won a seat on the board of Oyo State FA after he emerged victorious to represents Oyo South district along with Michael Oladeni, and the Chairman of Ibadan Football Association (IFA) Rotimi Alli.Among football administrators that won a seat for themselves on the board of the State FA in the pace-setter state was Ogunleye John Kayode who is popularly known as John K and Mutiu Adekunle to represent Oyo Central district while Comrade Ayanwale Olawale also returned unopposed as the vice chairman.Alhaji Azeez Amusa and Alhaji Ganiyu Arole were also elected as Oyo FA membersrepresenting Oyo North district in a polls that was peaceful and witnessed by all stakeholders in the football family in Oyo State.The election had 11 delegates that comprises Ibadan zonal football association, Oyozonal football association, Ogbomoso zonal football association, Saki zonal football association, Eruwa zonal football association, Oyo State Football Referees Council, Nigerria Football Coaches Association, Nigeria National League (NNL) Nigeria Nationwide League, Women League and The Player’s Union.Oba James Odeniran, the Alaakinyele of Akinyele Ibadan in his inaugural speech thanked all and sundry that made his first tenure a successful one while pledging to consolidate on the successes recorded during the first term by bringing in big sponsors to support the activities of the FA.
