The trending online debate organized by the versatile CEO and Ideas Factory, Ambassador Ayo George of In-House Entertainment Limited, organizers of the popular Lagos Birthdays, has ended on a very high note.
The online debate engaged kids between the ages of 10 and 15 on a very educative subjects that will surely imparted kids with lasting experience.
Speaking with George, he revealed how the idea was concived and activated, saying “we live in very peculiar times, and every sector of business has been badly hit. My own sector, the entertainment industry particularly has been badly hit by the global pandemic and the colossal loss in this sector can really not be quantified”.
He added that “It is only smart to see how the world has gone digital since the virus began, and we birthed the online Kids Debate Challenge. The response was massive and Christ Ambassadors International College, Ibadan occupied 6 of the top 8 positions. We had about 32 entries and we came down to the final 8”.
The entertainment guru however explained further that “we sat down to see how we could use technology to promote education during this pandemic, with the kids in focus and we came up with the online debate”.
“It was a great experience for me particularly because the idea is a novel that can be aided by technology. It has come to stay and gradually, as normal life returns, we would move from online to a massive physical debate amongst schools in Nigeria”. He concluded.
The Winner, Zoe Olatunde also from Christ Ambassadors International College, as well as other winners were elated with the cash prizes from Triumph Petroleum and Nature’s Treat Café. Gift items were also given to the winners by Nature’s Treat, Ribena, King Leo, Trog World and Coldstone.
The follow up edition which was tagged: Season 2 according to the organisers have been scheduled to comes up in June.
