The royal father while speaking with newsmen after the exercise explained that he considered it necessary to bring smiles to the faces of our brothers and sisters during this trying period.

Saying “It is not easy coping under this condition and I must confess to the fact that Nigerians, especially these my people living in a remote part of the state and with major farming occupation are facing a lot of challenges at the moment”.

He added that “we cannot leave everything to the state government because the COVID-19 pandemic is a global threat to the world economy and we are all affected, and we discovered that the palliative measure of the state government was not enough to cater for all the residents of the community, so we decided to reach out to the people by initiating a door-to-door distribution of cash and items such as facemasks and sanitizers that will help them fight the virus”.

“It is not as if we have too much, but as the leader of this community, what I did by contributing personally to support my people was to show that I always care about their welfares, and I will continue to do my best to improve the social and health services of my people”, said Olodogbo of Odogbo-Ijesa.
