Arc. Giwa Felicitates With Alhaji Yusuf Kamorudeen As Outgoing Lagun Principal.

The Otunba of Lagun and Founder, Otunba Hassan Olawale Giwa Foundation, Arc. Hassan Giwa has felicitated with Alhaji Yusuf Kamorudeen after 35 years meritorious service at his retirement ceremony as Principal, Lagun Community Grammar School, Lagun Ibadan.

Arc. Giwa, who is the Chairman of the occasion described the retired principal as a dedicated civil servant, who has contributed immensely to the improvement of teaching service in Oyo State.

He attributed the efforts and success of the improvement in the education standard and involvement of Lagun indigenes in the running of the school, to Alhaji Yusuf Kamorudeen and praised the support given to the celebrant by members of staff of the school during his tenure.

While promising his support to the new principal, he disclosed that during the reign of Alhaji Kamorudeen as principal of the school, he was able to put in a lot of assistance to support the school.

“Through my foundation, I was able to roof one of the blocks of classrooms destroyed by the rainstorm, provided furniture and uniforms for a number of students”, Giwa said.

He, therefore, implored those in the active service to emulate good virtue exhibited by the retired principal during his active years in service, also urged the retirees to continue to use their wealth of experience to champion the cause of Almighty God and humanity.

Why delivering the lecture, Sheik Muhydeen Ajani Bello, noted that patience and good character are the pointer tools that earned the celebrant a good landing.

Bello in his word maintained that the honour and respect being shown to Alhaji Kamorudeen was as a result of his deeds to the people that were earned in return.

In the occasion that was graced by the new Principal, Lagun Community Grammar School, Mrs. Bamidele Oludayo, Parents’ Teachers Association, Mr. Adebayo Najeem, Chairman and members, Lagun Community Grammar School Governing Board among others; the cleric charged the celebrant to continue to praise Almighty God for the rare opportunity given to him, saying that not many that started the journey ended it well like him.
