Ajimobi’s Burial Rescheduled, To Be Announced Later

The final burial and internment of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi was gathered to be rescheduled and would be announced later.

This was disclosed by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Bolaji Tunji while addressing journalists at Ajimobi’s residence in Oluyole Estate, Ibadan.

The statement reads:

“With great sadness and seep regrets but in total submission to the will of the Almighty Allah, we announce the transition of His Excellency, Senator Ishaq Abiola Adeyemi Ajimobi which sad incident occurred after a brief illness on Thursday, June 25, 2020. He was aged 70 years.”
“Funeral details will be announced later.”

Goal Poacher noted, there are some APC stalwarts in the state such as Bimbo Kolade, Mojeed Olaoya, former state lawmakers, and aides were at Ajimobi’s residence to sympathize with the family.

Until his death, Ajimobi was the acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.
