Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, has appointed a former permanent secretary, chief Mrs Olawumi Ogunnesan as Oyo State Head of Service.
The event which was held on Monday, 12th February, 2017 took place at the Governor’s office in Ibadan.
Ajimobi, while delivering his speech at the occasion expressed his confidence in the Chief, as he praised her level of loyalty to the Oyo state government over the years.
He applauded her for her commitment to the success recorded by the current administration. On a personal note, he commended her sticking over the years, especially for standing by his wife for 16 years even when things were really rough.
“Even when things were really rough, she was the one that stayed. We did not see anybody else but she stood firmly by us”, the governor said.
He commended her enthusiasm and massive support and further recanted how she stood by his family at a time they lost the election.
He said there was a time she was the only one doing everything by herself and when she was asked to get someone else to assist , she got about 3-4 more women but these women could not stay.
“Before you know it, they all disappeared giving different excuses as they could not endure the hardship and be firm in the face of trials”, he said.
